A. Astrauskas's company PIRMAS ZINGSNIS, which was established on 29 October 1993, manufactures and adapts prosthesis-orthopaedic and ergotherapy technologies for Lithuanian people that after operations or traumas and for the disabled as well. Various braces, prostheses, footwear inserts and surgical boots are manufactured and adapted for individual needs; they are produced from high quality, safe, harmless and ecologically – friendly materials that meet high quality and safety requirements. The goods are approved of Ministry of Healthcare of Lithuania , the group of serial goods is evaluated according to European Directive 93/42/EEB requirements and is registered under the protection class CE.

A.Astrauskas's company PIRMAS ZINGSNIS has been the second among the enterprises of similar profile in respect of the number of patients being serviced for several years. The company PIRMAS ZINGSNIS has built a professional and creative team that cooperates closely almost with all medical institutions in Kaunas and with plenty of other treatment and rehabilitation institutions in Lithuania and which has been working under preventive programmes for children to avoid spinal and feet deformations.

The company aims to establish and satisfy demands and expectations of its clients and other related bodies and it seeks to gain some superiority over its opponents improving general development of the company.

The company provides its clients with flexible services: the customers are consulted, their orders are accepted and the products are applied almost everywhere in Lithuania .

QUALITY

Some four years ago the company implemented, certified and has been maintaining so far the quality management system that meets ISO 9001 requirements. With the aim to improve overall quality management, the company participated in the National quality prize contest in 2002 and 2003. Taking care of orthopaedic goods quality, safety and environmental protection and improving company's management, emphasizing the fact of meeting law requirements, we implemented an environmental protection management system already in 2004, which meets international standard ISO 14001requirements.

Solid working experience, proper technologies, high quality, safe raw materials and operating management systems guarantee the manufacturing quality of goods, short terms for order accomplishment (precise executing) and service provision.

Production malfunctions are managed during manufacturing process in accordance with standard ISO 9001 requirements; every orthopaedic device is measured, corrected, improved and adapted to a client. Meeting patient demands and doctor recommendations, our company's staff select and manufacture an article of orthopaedic goods that is the best for a client. Warranty obligations are applied for all our goods.

Our staff members participate in preparation of different projects for general orthopaedic disorder treatment and prophylaxis, and relief for the disabled to integrate them into a full value everyday life, taking part in activities of Lithuania 's standardisation department and its technical committees, sponsorship programmes and associations. In 2004 the director of the company (the owner) was awarded the Kindness brick award for his charity activities in Kaunas , and was nominated for The Director of the Year award among Lithuania 's medical institution representatives.

Good working conditions in newly established comfortable premises, attention to the surroundings, society and the staff, promotion of moral and material well-being and informal communication with the director encourages the staff to carry out its duties more effectively and to improve their performance capacity continuously, producing sophisticated articles in time and rapidly.
